On April 6, 2023 we welcomed our son Victor Evander Chaney into the world. This bundle of joy came into the world fighting, as Victor was born with a genetic condition called Jacobsen's Syndrome. This underlying disease caused Victor to undergo open heart surgery only two weeks into his life. This extended time of hospitalization is an ongoing process.
During a four month hospital admission, things such as fear and disbelief would try to permeate the atmosphere. A change needed to take place if we were going to see any healing for Victor, his care team, and our family. Light cards were created and placed around Victor's room to tap into a radical faith and miraculous change in Victor's health.
There are hundreds of families who have children with ongoing health needs and who can benefit from such affirmation such as Victor. WORDS OF LIGHT is dedicated to helping others find the light in every season of life through the power of handwritten inspiration.
